Warning: Correspondence misusing the details of Diplock Solicitors Ltd and a genuine solicitor

Correspondence has been sent misusing the details of a genuine firm of solicitors and a genuine solicitor.
What is the scam?
The SRA has seen a letter sent to a member of the public purporting to be from a genuine firm of solicitors and a genuine solicitor that are authorised and regulated by the SRA (see details of genuine firm and solicitor below).
The letter seen by the SRA relates to the endorsement and notarisation of the recipient's passport. The letter misuses the logo of the genuine firm, its contact details and old letterhead. This letter also contains the email address 'sayed2011solicitor@gmail.com'.
The SRA has also seen a stamped copy of a passport which purports to be certified as an original copy by a genuine solicitor (details below). This stamp misuses the name of the genuine firm and solicitor, as well as the genuine firm's contact details.
WhatsApp messages have also been sent by an individual named 'Jobayer Hossain' providing bank details. The SRA has been informed that the messages were from the phone number + 44 7494 530 733.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate a solicitor called 'Jobayer Hossain'.
Any business or transaction through the email address 'sayed2011solicitor@gmail.com', 'Jobayer Hossain' or the telephone number + 44 7494 530 733 are not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Diplock Solicitors Ltd. The genuine head office of the firm is Ground Floor, 764 Barking Road, London, E13 9PJ and its telephone number is 02034 112 218. The genuine email address for the firm is info@diplocksolicitors.com and the genuine website address for the firm is www.diplocksolicitors.com.
The SRA also authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Mohammad Sayed, who is employed as a solicitor at the genuine firm (details above).
The genuine firm of solicitors and the genuine solicitor Mohammad Sayed have confirmed that they have no connection to the any of the documents or details referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
