Warning: Trademark related email falsely purporting to be from St Nic's Legal Services Ltd, misusing the name and SRA number of Amanda Mary Louise Mourad

An email has been sent falsely purporting to be from St Nic's Legal Services Ltd, also misusing the name and SRA number of Amanda Mary Louise Mourad, in connection with purported trademark ownership.

What is the scam?

An email seen by the SRA was sent from the email address ‘amanda@ip.stnicslegalservices.co.uk’. The email misuses the name and postal address of a genuine firm of solicitors, and the name and SRA number of a genuine solicitor (see details further below).

The email also included a telephone number of '+44 1202080110', and a purported website address of 'https://stnicslegalservices.co.uk/'.

The emails inform the recipient that a third party has supposedly approached the sender to register the UK brand name of the recipient's business, seeking exclusive rights to their brand name. The email invites the recipient to secure trademark registration of their brand name first and offers to assist with this process.

Any business or transaction through the above email address, telephone number or website are not undertaken by any individual or firm authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors (or a proposed firm of solicitors), called St Nic's Legal Services Ltd (SRA ID: 8012738), which was authorised for trading in July 2026 but which we are informed is not currently trading.

The genuine firm’s head office contact address is 342-344 Ringwood Road, Ferndown, BH22 9AT, but it has confirmed that it does not have a website at the date of publication of this alert, as a website is currently being built.

The SRA does authorise and regulate a solicitor named Amanda Mary Louise Mourad (SRA ID: 341233), who is not believed to have any genuine connection to the matter referred to in the alert above.

St Nic's Legal Services Ltd has confirmed that it does not have any connection to the email referred to in the above alert. The firm has also confirmed that Amanda Mary Louise Mourad does not work for this firm, and the firm is not currently trading.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
